Kari Olson
Kari Olson has always been a people person and built her entire career on her drive to help them. Kari returned to the title industry to join the GCS Title sales team for the north metro. After a few years helping people in the finance industry, Kari realized she missed the fast pace and daily variety that working with Realtors, loan officers and consumers brings as they navigate the home buying, selling and refinance process. Kari likes to make a difference and help people to feel comfortable in business and personal life and is a passionate volunteer.
Kari is married with a large blended family. Raising sons got her into fishing and golf and she and her husband are also avid travelers.
Stephanie Olson
STEPHANIE OLSON: Friends & Family
You could say Stephanie Olson only does business with friends and family – because throughout her working years, her associates and customers have all become just that. Stephanie was exposed to real estate growing up and enjoys her role as Executive Closing Support for GCS Title because she gets to interact with the team, partners and customers. Business is about relationships to Stephanie and she looks forward to building more and expanding her role in different capacities for GCS.
Kristen Rewalt
Kristen Rewalt prefers to be prepared and makes every effort to do so every day. Knowing that real estate transactions can have all sorts of last minute surprises, Kristen’s drive to control what can be out of control serves her clients well. Drawn into the industry by someone who believed she would excel, Kristen prides herself on being thorough and planning ahead on behalf of her customers and industry partners. Kristen’s organized nature and anticipation of what could possibly occur brings a friendly calm to the fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable business of real estate closings.
Bobbi Rau
BOBBI RAU:
Bobbi moved from banking into title and enjoys the interaction with customers and being a problem-solver in the many situations that arise. Bobbi thrives on making things easier for others to do their jobs and reach their goals, including the closers, clients and partners. Bobbi finds is adept at managing the details that lead to successful transactions, which also comes in handy in her busy family life.
Pam Sorensen
Closer Pam Sorensen isn’t comparing her work style, ethic and performance to a dance – it’s just the best way to describe the element that makes her an efficient, successful closer. There are a lot of moving parts to real estate and mortgage transactions and Pam believes having “the hustle” is critical to serving homebuyers and homeowners as well as the Realtors and lenders involved. Pam relates to the people she helps to close on their homes, each time remembering the excitement and other experiences she had when she bought her own. Pam entered the title industry over a dozen years ago and believes she has found the niche for her skills, which makes her days working with people to get them to a successful closing pass amazingly fast.
Shelly Brekke
One of Shelly Brekke’s favorite things about her job is sharing clients’ excitement as they move on to a new chapter with the sale or purchase of a home. Shelly migrated from banking to title and realized instantly that she had found her niche in the fast-paced, diverse profession of being a closer. Shelly has years of experience with new construction and makes it a point to make sure her builders and clients feel that they don’t need to worry during the process. Being family-oriented herself, Shelly enjoys the camaraderie and team atmosphere at GCS.
Megan Ritchie
Megan Ritchie has been with GCS since the company was formed and enjoys establishing and maintaining the relationships they build during the course of business. As a closing assistant, Megan makes sure to adapt to the preferred business procedure of the clients and partners she works with, determining their communication and other preferences they require in their transactions. Megan believes it’s easy to go the extra mile for customers because she sincerely cares about their experience. She enjoys travel, music and the outdoors in her spare time.
Krista Slocum
An accounting degree has brought Chief Operating Officer Krista Slocum full circle. Her interest in numbers and financials has served her well in the title industry and so has her penchant for lists and projects. Krista made the move from being a real estate agent into the closing aspect of the business and has enjoyed the pace and problem-solving required to help people at the important points in their lives when they are buying, selling or refinancing their homes. Krista spent a number of years as a closer herself and now oversees the day-to-day closing operations as well as the overall financials for GCS. The only thing Krista enjoys more in her work than making a list and seeing the tasks checked off as “complete” is the satisfaction of the customers and real estate partners when their transactions reach a successful close.
Charlie Lawson
Charlie Lawson thought the title industry needed an attitude adjustment, so he founded GCS based on an entirely different way of thinking and serving the public, Realtors and lenders. He also believes that his job is to help his real estate and mortgage partners generate business – instead of just asking them for it. While Realtors and Loan Officers work many, varied hours, it can be hard for home buyers and sellers to get away from their 9 to 5 jobs to attend a closing. GCS is committed to customer and partner service at the highest level – and a big part of that is being available when you need them.
Charlie and his entire staff operate under the premise that GCS is a committed partner in every transaction, and they all agree that diffusing the stressful situations that can occur along with tenacious problem-solving are among the most satisfying parts of their work and growth as a company.
An aggressive and prolific networker, Charlie’s goal is to thrive along with his real estate and mortgage partners by participating in their growth. In addition to being active and visible in the real estate community, Charlie and his GCS team work with charity and civic organizations well.
